There were two gas stations in cities across Shenandoah County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.09 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 24, according to GasBuddy.com.
The average cost of regular gas in cities within Shenandoah County was $3.27 per gallon.
Of the 17 gas stations in cities within Shenandoah County, seven offer regular gas.
The average price of regular gas in Virginia was $3.21, compared to $3.24 the week before.
Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
