On Friday, Jan. 31, former Central High School standout Kelan Hoover’s current college team, the Wingate Bulldogs, lost 9-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Barry Buccaneers.

The game took place at Feinbloom Field. This was their first matchup against the Buccaneers this season.

The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. at J.M. “Jake” Rubin Park against Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
