Winchester ranked 339th in Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

Winchester ranked 339th among cities in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Winchester residents was $27,319 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 10,554 households with a population of 27,789.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was McLean with $90,665 per year after adjusting for inflation – $63,346 more than Winchester. It had 16,447 households with a population of 47,075.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Emory with $5,930 per year after adjusting for inflation – $21,389 less than Winchester. It had 248 households with a population of 1,306.
