Event Name: 2021 SERVSAFE FOOD HANDLER TRAINING AND TESTING
DESCRIPTION
By popular demand, the Botetourt Chamber of Commerce has arranged for convenient ServSafe® Food Handler training and testing for food service organizations. Get trained and tested in just one day. Prepare for food sanitation risks using well-respected ServSafe® training materials and training delivered by a well-respected regional culinary educator.
Virginia Western Community College will provide the one-day training and testing event on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 8 AM until 3 PM, facilitated by Chef James Zeisler (Chef Z). Chef Z is an experienced chef and culinary arts educator, currently serving as Program Head of Virginia Western's Culinary Arts program. He is a ServSafe® instructor/proctor with 15 years' experience and has been a certified food protection professional for the last 20 years.
ServSafe® certification ensures your employer and customers can trust that they will not become ill after eating improperly stored or prepared food. The ServSafe program strives to educate workers in the foodservice industry about the causes and consequences of foodborne illness. ServSafe certification helps prevent deaths, illness and the reputation of restaurants.
Class size is limited and advanced registration is required.

A parking pass will be forwarded with registration and should be printed for parking. The time frame allows for lunch and testing in the state of the art Claude Moore Education Complex. *Please note that lunch will not be provided at this training.
