2021 Shenandoah County Candidate Forums

8

Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley issued the following announcement on Oct. 14

The Alliance once again partnered with Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce, Shenandoah County Education Association, and Farm Bureau of Shenandoah County to host a series of virtual board of supervisor, school board and state delegate candidate forums for the upcoming November elections, and we asked for your participation to make sure we heard from the candidates on the issues important to you.

Since the forums were virtual to maintain safe COVID precautions, we asked that community members submit questions to candidates online using this form prior to each forum. Like always, candidates were asked questions by an impartial moderator who will selected and read the questions. The forums were recorded live and are posted below.

We are always excited to hold these forums as they are a great opportunity for voters to learn more about their candidates and for the candidates to introduce themselves and explain why they are running for office. Although in-person forums are our preference, it is our hope that this virtual option provides an opportunity for broader public participation through online question submission and the ability to watch the forum at any time.
