Stay Healthy by Staying Up To Date on Your Vaccines

15

It’s no surprise that the pandemic delayed routine care for many people, which means now it’s time to make wellness checks, yearly vaccinations and routine physicals for your family and yourself a real priority again.

It’s important to know which vaccines your family needs to stay healthy. Vaccines are available for many illnesses that once routinely harmed people of all ages. However, it’s important to know that the viruses and bacteria that cause many of these diseases still exist, which is why it’s vital to follow the immunization schedule recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.

Now is the perfect time to find out if you’re up to date on your immunizations, especially if you have a family member who is:

  • Traveling for summer vacation
  • Getting ready to head off to college
  • Starting a new grade as a school-aged child
  • Hitting a milestone age (vaccines are not just for children!).
  • See guidelines for all ages here https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/adults/rec-vac/index.html
Not sure if you and your family are up to date on your vaccines? You can take the childhood vaccine quiz here: https://www2a.cdc.gov/vaccines/childquiz/ or view immunization schedules for the entire family here: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/

If you still are not sure if you are overdue for an immunization, Valley Health offers compassionate, convenient family care and preventive care services for every stage of life. Don’t worry about how long it’s been since your last appointment — we just want you to schedule your next one. We have a number of locations, and we welcome new patients to many of our practices.

If you feel like you might be behind on your vaccines, request an appointment for yearly vaccinations today with a trusted Valley Health Family Medicine provider.
