The Virginia Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, in Suffolk. The meeting will take place in the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, 110 W. Finney Avenue, Suffolk VA, 23434.
The Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. Staff will request Board approval of the final exempt action to adopt 2 VAC 5-595, Regulations Governing the Manufacturing and Sale of Products that Contain Industrial Hemp Extracts Intended for Human Consumption and will brief the Board on the expansion of the regulated area for 2 VAC 5-336, Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Tree and Crop Pests Law - Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine. The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes.
