Shenandoah Nursing Program Among Virginia’s Top Performers
Shenandoah University’s Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing’s undergraduate program is the top nursing program offered by a private college or university in Virginia, according to 2022-23 rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.
The ranking is also reflected in the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCLEX) exam first-time pass rates posted by Shenandoah Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates. Shenandoah has one of Virginia’s highest passing percentages for the 2021-2022 academic year, 97.47%, which far higher than the national average of a little over 86%.
At the graduate level, the university’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program has a 100% professional exam pass rate.
“We have achieved such wonderful outcomes due to the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students supported by learning experiences in our university, hospital systems, and community settings,” said Lisa M. Levinson, MSN, RN, assistant professor and interim dean at the Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing.
