The town of Grottoes, Virginia, hosted its fifth official Veterans' Day program at the Town Hall. The event featured performances by local children and speeches from veterans. U.S. Representative Ben Cline, representing Virginia's 6th District, made an appearance and delivered a brief speech.
Cline expressed gratitude to the veterans in attendance for their service. "You’re a living testament to the truth that freedom isn’t free," he stated. "Your sacrifices, whether made on distant battlefields or at home, speak volumes about your courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to defending the Constitution."
The program concluded with a roll call honoring veterans who served in various conflicts, including Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan. The audience responded with applause.
