WASHINGTON, DC– Today, Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA) and the Republican Study Committee released its annual budget for fiscal year 2025. The budget serves as a comprehensive blueprint for conservative governance and was produced by the RSC Budget and Spending Task Force, which Congressman Cline currently chairs.

In response to President Biden's budget proposal for FY 2025, which aims to spend $7.3 trillion, RSC's "Fiscal Sanity to Save America" budget offers a different approach. According to RSC Budget and Spending Task Force Chair Rep. Ben Cline, "Decades of Washington’s reckless spending habits have left the American People to foot the bill through high inflation and rising costs, and we cannot continue down this irresponsible path."

The RSC budget aims to balance the budget in seven years, cut spending by $16.7 trillion over 10 years, tame inflation, protect national security, and defund what they view as Biden's failed priorities. Congressman Cline emphasized, "The RSC budget proposes responsible, common-sense policy that bolsters the American economy, lowers inflation, slashes wasteful spending, and reverses the harmful, regressive, wasteful, and unnecessary policies that are crushing hardworking families."

RSC Chairman Kevin Hern expressed confidence in the budget, stating, "Our budget is proof that it's possible to balance the budget, it's possible to operate in the black." He highlighted the importance of conservative policies in achieving financial stability and economic growth. Hern commended Chairman Cline and the Task Force Members for their early completion of the budget, emphasizing the need for fiscal responsibility and reduced spending to steer the country back on track.

The RSC Budget comprises 285 individual bills and initiatives submitted by RSC Members, reflecting a collaborative effort towards fiscal prudence and economic stability.

Congressman Ben Cline represents the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia and has a background in private practice and public service. Cline and his wife reside in Botetourt County with their two children.
