Returning home after a quick two-game conference road swing, the VMI basketball team will face the UNCG Spartans Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Cameron Hall.

- UNCG enters the game 9-8 overall and 3-1 in the SoCon with wins over Western Carolina, Wofford and Chattanooga, each by nine points or more.
- Keondre Kennedy has had an impressive season statistically thus far, pacing the team with 13.5 points and 7.1 rebounds.
- He ranks fifth in the conference in rebounding and 14th in scoring. Keyshaun Langley is 17th in the SoCon with 12.8 points per game and is fourth with 46 made three-pointers and fifth with 27 steals.  
 
Last Time Out
- Down by as many as 22 early in the second half, the VMI basketball team showed fight over the final minutes of the game but ultimately fell by an 85-78 score to host Chattanooga Saturday afternoon at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- The Keydets (5-12, 0-4) fell behind by a 56-34 count at the 15:37 mark of the second half following a three by Chattanooga center and former Keydet Jake Stephens, who finished the contest with a season-high 37 points.
- Freshman guard Asher Woods led the Keydets with 19 points on the afternoon - including a season-high five threes -  while fellow freshman Tyler Houser logged 17 during the game, one shy of his season high. Tony Felder, Jr. also earned a season-best four threes on the afternoon.
