Incorporating Solar into Agricultural Landscapes – Workshop for Farmers

252

Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley recently issued the following announcement.

We are pleased to co-host this informational workshop for farmers and agricultural producers* in collaboration with Virginia Cooperative Extension. Attendees will learn about solar installation options and how solar can fit and complement existing agricultural operations. Speakers include representatives from the Virginia Department of Energy, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Coalition for Community Solar Access, regional electric cooperatives, and solar industry representatives.

We’re offering two dates for the workshop, one in the northern Valley and one in the southern Valley, so select registration for the location that is easiest for you to attend. Both workshops will contain the same content and will run from 10am – 2pm with lunch provided. Registration is $10 to cover materials and lunch, and pre-registration is required.

*This workshop is open only to our professional agriculture community. If you are not a farmer or ag producer and have an idea for a similar conference for a broader audience, please reach out: info@shenandoahalliance.org. Thanks!
