Congressman Ben Cline of Virginia's Sixth Congressional District has been recognized for his outstanding efforts in advancing intellectual property rights. The Council for Innovation Promotion recently released a legislative scorecard, with Rep. Cline receiving the highest rating in the entire House of Representatives.

In response to this achievement, Congressman Cline expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am honored to receive the highest score in the House of Representatives on the Council for Innovation Promotion’s scorecard. Intellectual property promotes economic growth and innovation at every level, and is fundamental for many businesses and entrepreneurs. I will continue to work on policy initiatives that address IP challenges and ensure our IP laws continue to incentivize innovation for our country’s future."

The Council for Innovation Promotion evaluated various criteria, including voting records, bill sponsorship and co-sponsorship, as well as national leadership and advocacy efforts on intellectual property during the 116th, 117th, and 118th Congresses, to determine each legislator’s score.

Congressman Cline, who represents Virginia's Sixth Congressional District, has a background as an attorney in private practice, as well as experience as an assistant prosecutor and Member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He resides in Botetourt County with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.
